|
Description Feebie Brainiac and the Lysis Virus provides consummate suspense while introducing novel circumstances as well as language in a geographically and culturally altered future Earth. The author incorporates issues such as euthanasia, human cloning and genetic manipulation into the fabric of the novel in a subtle, nonthreatening, nonjudgmental, practical and believable manner provoking thought in the reader while allowing them to focus on the hero. The suspense of the novel further weaves its way through the issue of the Brainiacs, six gifted children, taking the responsibility of stopping evil and saving humankind from total annihilation. While the Brainiac is obviously fictitious, the object lessons of trust, teamwork, commitment, loyalty, honesty and hard work shine through to brighten any who would inspire to emulate the Brainiacs. Faced with decisions having serious consequences, each of the Brainiacs must test their courage and resolve both independently and as a group. Author
