| Summary | (Editor) Mark Takahashi, Ph.D. is a research scientist at the Microarray Centre (a branch of the Clinical Genomics Centre located at the University Health Network in Toronto, Canada). He obtained his Ph.D. from the Department of Biology at York University (Canada). Currently, he is developing novel technology applications of microarrays to answer specific biological questions. His research interests focus on studying the regulation of gene expression leading to the terminal differentiation and adaptation of skeletal muscle. (Editor) Neil Winegarden, M.S. is the Head of Operations for the University Health Network Microarray Centre, in Toronto, ON, Canada. Neil obtained his M.Sc. from the University of Toronto, studying heat shock gene regulation. Neil was one of the original members of the Microarray Centre, starting in 1998. Neil’s role is to ensure that the Centre functions on a day to day basis – and he is also responsible for directing technology development efforts. |
