In 1319, when Lady Lucy turns 13 years old, her father, Baron Geoffrey, is planning to wed her to a rich lord. Lucy is determined to marry only for love. Lucy falls in love with a handsome peasant, named Peter, when he saves her from drowning in Frog Stream. The adventures of Lucy's heart unfold against the historical background of lavish feasts, jousting matches and dubbing ceremonies. The tension increases as Lady Lucy is kidnapped and becomes engulfed in a fierce battle when her uncle, Lord Richard's castle is besieged by a traitorous lord and his army of soldiers. This novel is written by a former teacher and social worker who now writes children’s' books. "I want people to really feel they're living in the Middle Ages when they read this book," says author Rautenburg.
